You mean the RIGHT by you. He has the absolute RIGHT to do that job and many more. The amount the job pays is not part of the equation.

Yes you are correct... I mean RIGHT by me. Not by others. I don't believe he should be able to go back to the job he did. But I am wrong and I do believe I said that. He CAN do that job an many more. It's the world we live in today... People get to keep their jobs after doing horrible things. *shrug* I think he should "rebuild" his life, from the bottom up! But... That's just me.

There seems to be somewhat of a paradigm here that Mr. Vic (No I don't feel he has the right to have is name spelled right either) has the right to work anywhere he wishes. NO! He does not! While he does get to make millions at his old job some employers do have standards and there are places that he by law can not work! Every year I have to sign a "Code of Conduct" form that I will not do anything to embarrass my company. If I do I will be fired. My company has standards.
I'm not impressed that he threw money at the HSUS who BTW less the 1% of their money goes to actual shelters! He would do anything to get his old job and money back. No surprise there! It's still blood money! Do I judge him? You bet I do!!! He pulled the teeth out of the dogs that wouldn't fight! He thew them up against walls and dropped them from rafters to see them suffer! He slowly electrocuted them to listen to their screams and drowned them! He buried them alive! Michael Vick didn't make a mistake. He didn't "make a bad choice." Over a period of five years he forced dogs into deadly fights, and he personally killed, or conspired to kill, thirteen dogs. He didn't pick a quick, painless method of killing, but instead chose a variety of means that qualify as torture. Pit Bulls are powerful dogs. Imagine how hard you would have to work to kill a Pit Bull by forcibly drowning him.
Someone on this thread in defense of Vic said something about not wanting to live in "their" world.... The world of the person they felt was judging him. Well... You don't have to worry about that... It seems that you don't! What kind of a world is this that dogs can be tortured, ex wives and children killed and people who do these acts, go back to their "normal" lives? Don't tell me you "love" animals and defend his actions! I don't believe you! He has no RIGHT to his old life back..... Well he get it back... yes! Will the law allow it. Yes! Is it right NO! Animal abuse should NEVER be tolerated! But it is.... over and over and over again. As long as people can do it and get by with a slap on the hand this will continue. As to my background, I rescue dogs. If you want to give me your e-mail addresses I will send you some of the pictures of the animals and cruelty that I see every day! Look into the lives of the people who try to protect them and save them. Look into the eyes of the dogs that have been tortured. LOOK!!!! Look hard, and then.... go look in the mirror and look at yourself. Vic is a despicable man! YES I judge him!!!! He should get the same chance as the dogs got!

I believe the term of "getting his old job back" is incorrect. Just re-visit the decisions the NFL made of his situation at the time of his conviction. It was ordained then that Vic was too valuable an asset to not have come back. It was one step short of a leave of absence.
If the system was truly meant to punish the guilty he would have been banned for at least 5 years after official release. Money and fame puts one in a category of special handling and exceptions to the rules. btk |

Perhaps rescue of dogs is in our blood and sinew. Sportsman like conduct
from a 'changed' Michael Vick...NO, his press people have changed, that's all. His four legged victims are all over the Country now, in homes where people must work hard for no money whatsoever to make right and whole some of the surviving dogs. Makes me feel sick. |

This the the first time I've even clicked on this thread. Anyone who preys on the vulnerable, be they animals, or the elderly, or children, is a poor excuse for a human being.

I was once a soldier who witnessed atrocities you cannot imagine. I pray that it was just a period in their (mine) life and that when they came home they could resume a normal life. Most of them did and they are outstanding citizens. When we are young and in certain situations we are expected to act a certain way and we are too young to know better. Time and maturity changes people and they can see things from a different perspective. People should have compassion for other people.

Let's switch gears.
Kelsea Morse, 27, appeared in Yellowstone County Justice Court and pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges. Judge Pedro Hernandez imposed six-month deferred jail sentences on both charges and ordered Morse to pay $2,095 in fines, court costs and restitution. Hernandez rejected a request from prosecutors to suspend the woman’s Montana hunting privileges for two years after Morse’s defense attorney argued that the license violations did not require the loss of her hunting privileges. Question.....Is the Morse family as bad as Vick? |
