Unfortunately, Im afraid demented creeps like Vick have no guilt or shame. I really dont believe they have a concience, so living with themselves is not a problem.

Does anyone really think that doing his time has changed his way of thinking?

Default mistake is something one learns from

Michael Vick didn't learn that until a long time after the issues began. God
has nothing to do with this. We are talking about someone who went on and on and on with lots of people helping him. My God goes to a different church apparently, and bringing the bible into the dog fighting ring doesn't resolve
how people feel about what occured. I am glad you feel church is the answer, lets get all the dogs to church next Sunday.

I suppose if it were of of your own kids he smashed against the wall and tortured, , you'd forgive him for serving his time. He cannot be forgiven. And football has a black eye for giving this guy a second chance. Shame on those who think differently. Vick is not a nice man.

Have to disagree with you Tom. The law, rightfully or wrongly, does separate actions against animals from actions against humans. He was given a fair sentence (in fact it may have been slightly heavy when compared to normal sentencing guidelines). He has the right to earn a living and the NFL would be wrong from excluding him from that opportunity.

You or I don't have to forgive or forget if that is what we choose. But I would never say "shame on those who think differently".

I just cast a very big stone Vics way and my prayer is that the Eagles
crash and burn and pay the price for rewarding a serial torturer and killer.
Amen

Default Something to consider....

As I've learned that many people don't like links... I'm posting an article in it's entirety.

Here is the link as well:

He gives me reason to route against the Eagles, unless they are playing the Jets. He can talk in public all he wants about how rehabilitated he is but you know he could care less about the dogs he tortured. NFL should haved banned him.

So all people who commit crimes against animals (or humans) should never have a job? There is no such thing as being remorseful?

Thanks but I don't want to live in your world.

Of course he can have a job. I don't think anyone said that he shouldn't be able to work. But to go back to the high profile job that he has with children looking on making the kind of money that he makes??? Nope! He doesn't have the right to that job!

Yes he can "rebuild" his life. But to go back to the old life? The one that afforded him the money and lifestyle to do what he did??? Nope! He doesn't have that right.

But you know what??? His fans say he does so I stand corrected. Greed is a wonderful thing!

You want to live in a world where people are rewarded with their old life after doing something has heinous as Michael Vick did? Well, you do!

I think it must be a full moon....

Nope, not a full moon, just the way society works. People who are convicted of crimes and serve their sentences should be free to pursue their lives. They have paid the price for their actions. To limit their employment opportunities is adding an additional punishment beyond what is proscribed by our laws. That's not the way the system works.

Do I abhor what he did? Absolutely. But he paid the price both through the courts and from his employer and the NFL. By all accounts he has turned his life around. His new contract and position as starter reflect the progress he has made.

And no, I'm not an Eagles fan.

Sorry.. .When I referred to a full moon..... I was referring to myself in even being in this conversation. I realize that no one will change anyone's opinion on this issue. That certainly wasn't a reflection on anyone else. I'm sorry it was misunderstood.
