We filed and paid our 18 & 19 income tax, didnt earn anything near the $150K. Never had a refund, hence the IRS has no router # or acct #, but they send SS checks direct deposit. Still no stimulus check. Govt at its best!!

You'll get a stimulus check after everyone who provided their bank info gets theirs. You should check with the IRS.gov website under "get my payment" and input your social security number, birthdate, and address. If you're eligible, it'll change to a different web page that says so and offers you the opportunity to input your bank account info.

Once you do that, your info will be processed and within a couple of weeks you'll get a notification verifying a date that the funds will be electronically deposited into your account.

OR - you can do nothing, and within the next few months, you'll get a paper check.

Can anyone cite a specific example where someone collecting unemployment benefits under the CARES Act had their benefits CUT OFF?
If a state rescinds their state's emergency and says "our state is now back open, you may all return to work" then...

Anyone who has NOT been diagnosed or has symptoms and seeking diagnosis, whose household has NOT experienced COVID-19 - and therefore has not had anyone in the household die as a result of it...

will not be eligible because the state has declared that businesses are now open for employment again and that means #4 is no longer applicable, neither is #5, or #6, or #8, or #9.

And therefore - if they refuse to return to work when called back, their claim for unemployment is invalidated.

Technically, I agree. But, to me, the key phrase is "self certification". And, these special rules only apply until the end of July. I don't think many employers are going to want to force employees to come back who don't want to work. I guess we will see how aggressive the rules are enforced, especially since most of the money comes from Federal funds.

Since 2010 congress which was under republican control has made cuts in IRS budget that adjusted for inflation equal 25% and have limit d staffing for enforcement by 1/3 even the president has said we maybe have gone to far , many of you want government out of your life and now complain that the government can’t get a massive project done in record time without some mistakes, just check the box
and maybe think about the hard job there doing

The government is very efficient at spending money, it lacks judgement when it comes to spending it wisely.

Edit: Can you imagine the financial loss if every deceased person who died sometime in 2018 (had a 2018 tax form filed) got a $1200 check? It seems likely that is what could have happened because it makes no sense they just randomly in error chose him.
All you have to do is let your deceased father vote in November.

I got a check addressed to my deceased Mom at her Village address but it also had my name on it. She died March, 2018. Like everyone else on this post says, the check has dcsd after her name. I'm just going to keep it as a memento of these times.

This post was a try at Political Trolling and it evidently wasn’t a try it worked!

I could however believe that people that are dying currently from anything would get a deposit because undertakers supply the government that social security #s are no longer valid. I believe undertakers are overwhelmed in quite a few areas!
Look what happened in NY with 60 bodies found in U Hauls, ya think that undertaker reported SS #s? They didn’t report they were overwhelmed.
Sorry but you are wrong about the correctness of the post. My deceased mother-in-law also received a stimulus check.

My mother died in 2018. My father just received a combined stimulus check for 2,400 that clearly indicated with a DECD on the check. What should he do with the check being that he is only entitled to 1,200?

The current advice is to hold on to the money until the Government issues specific guidance on what to do.

I've consulted with the NSA, DOD, EPA and will tell you that the folks in the higher levels are really bright and on the ball...but many of the 'worker-bees' under them are just going through the motions and know that they have a job for life no matter what they do / don't do.
Really, most was put in position through nepotism or political appointments don’t have clue what worker bee’s are doing.
