I don't believe that. I think I don't believe that.

No. I don't listen to conspiracy theories.....but so much STUFF is happening that make us all wonder who is driving the truck.

Seems like the Vaccine truck has been driver-less for a couple of months.

No, you do not have to go back to the same place. Your Data was sent to CDC. The only requirement is to receive the same (Pfizer-Pfizer or Moderna-Moderna) vaccine. That's why you where given a COVID 19 Vaccination Record Card. All information needed to get the 2nd shot is on that card.

Don't make this any harder than it has to be.

I guess we were the car that pulled up behind you.
How did they not know they didn’t even have enough to complete Saturdays appointments!!?? Funny how that’s not mentioned in the article. Sure hope we are actually put at the top of the list for when they receive more. Then again how can we feel confident that they will get the second dose on time?

Reading it is one thing, getting a ROBO call at 3:30 AM to tell me it was almost enough to scare me to death, with or without the shots.

So, statistically The Villages certainly is not the most needy area of FL. Seniors here have been doing the right things to avoid getting sick.
What concerns me though, is that yesterday, the new deaths for Miami were 33, Marion had 5, Lake had 28, and Sumter had 30 new deaths! Usually Sumter crawls along with 1 new death every few days....what happened? That is a huge jump for a county with only 156 deaths total!
Please remember to adjust raw numbers by total population to come up with a rate of death. Number of deaths in a county is not a useful statistic, whereas rate (or % of deaths) is useful for making comparisons. Both Lake and Marion Counties have a population approximately three times that of Sumter, and Miami is even many multiples greater.

Default Surrounding Distribution Systems

The moral: instead of focusing on the deficiencies of the local distribution, amuse yourself with the deficiencies and educate yourself about the occasional opportunities in the surrounding distribution systems.

In my case, I deemed Duvall and Orange County to present interesting opportunities.

Good luck, everyone.
If you are trying to be helpful why not post links to these other “opportunities “?

I'll take my chances with the vaccine.
My understanding is that by the time the immune system recognizes the new virus as an invader, the immune system may overreact producing too many cytokines (the cytokine storm), which result in serious consequences including death. The purpose of the vaccine is to "prime the pump," so to speak, so that the immune system will quickly recognize the virus as a foreign invader and dispatch it quickly without overreacting.

Remember the saying, “We’re from the government and we’re here to help you”? Yeah, right.

This vaccine rollout has become one convoluted (not the actual word I was wanting to use) mess.

I don’t know whether to feel relieved or slighted — I’ve heard several say they got early morning/middle of the night calls and emails. I didn’t get a call just the email. 😁 or 😟?

Since this shortage has happened I sure hope this never happens to the beer, wine, and liquor production in this country or we will have issues like we have never seen in this country......

We just removed 32 off topic or political posts. Please stay on topic. We have better things to do with our Sunday than to continually clean up these threads.

Thank You.

Default On The List

Although I clearly am in CDC Group 1B and registered within 24 hours of the opening of the list for vaccinations at the 466A site, I’m only “on the list”.

So for a county of going on 140,000 residents, the state allocated Sumter county a total of 7,500 doses, enough for the two-shot procedure for only 3,250 people.

Does that sound like an equitable distribution to you? We need to smarten up, don’t you think?
