Sounds like you enjoy talking to Comcast every month. I prefer a company that takes care of business right the first time. I wish Comcast customer service was more user friendly!

I've had Comcast for year now and could not be happier. The single occasion where I needed customer support was excellent. In fact the tech I spoke to called me back to confirm the fix. On another occasion where we needed a coax outlet activated in a new location, the tech who came out to make the modification noted a weak signal due to the inadequate feed coming from the outside drop box. He replaced it with a beefier cable, and our signal improved. I read many pros and cons with every cable company, but Comcast has done right by me, and the bill never changes.

In the beginning of 2015 the price was $162 per month, in 2016 it was $191 per month, in 2017 it was $216 and now in Feb. 2017 it has been raised to $249 per month.
Note that I have the very same service today that I had when I first signed up. The price since 2015 has increased over 50%, outlandish!!! As part of my service I have two extra outlets, not boxes, simply connectors, originally I was charged $1.99 each, per month, now they are charging $5.99 each per month, a 300% increase.
I understand that if you are unhappy with the bill that if you call, they will discount it somewhat, that is no way to run a business. Unfortunately, there is little or no competition and we are all stuck with a monopoly gone wild.
I'm sure that other Int./TV/phone companies are doing the same thing, I'd appreciate any of you providing your experiences.

I have century Link and my bill for this month is $105. more than last month. I was told all the discounts have expired and will have to pay this amount until discount become available. Changing my service to another vendor next week.

If you complain to CLP about cost they will give you a discount, but they will also extend your contract a year. They will not tell you they are extending your contract.We are in the 4th year because of that little trick. Now it will cost me $200 to cancel early.

Stop in an ATT store and see what they have to offer you. I listens to their pitch and it sounded good for Direct which is par of ATT now. What they offer is just TV, you'll have to stay with Comcast for home phone and internet. Doesn't hurt to check it out. Like I said sounded good, I just don't have the energy to make the change right now.

I'm an IT nerd, and the ONLY issue I've had with Comcast for the past 20 months was re: Internet speed. I "upgraded" to faster speed, and have been highly satisfied. As for TV, works fine - only down a couple of times in that period. As for Customer Service, whenever I've contacted them (3x), I got prompt attention, a quick fix to the issue, and a credit (once) with no issues at all on the phone. Plus, they have 3 phone apps that allow you to troubleshoot your own TV/Internet/Account. I actually reset my cable box once on my own, fixing the connection issue immediately. Works fine for me, I'm between 466 and 466A. I guess every service/store has good and bad stories, but for me, so far, so good!

I only go with Driectv, even with the occasional outages during heavy rain. Directv, and probably Dish TV, has a much better picture than the cable outfits. It's one of the few things I don't mind paying for.

if you re a new customer xfinity charges 50. 00 for a deposit which is applied to your first bill. if your a new customer and your credit card billing address and your address of service are not the same they charge you 100.00 which is returned after your 1 or 2yr contract expires. (doubt if they going to return it). to avoid this fee call your credit card company and add a 2nd address, aka a seasonal address to your account. when calling xfinity just tell them both addresses are the same service address. . they now do a auto pay credit card system and the bill is emailed to you so you do not have to worry about your mail going astray. also notice their website allows you to change your username/password and a area to input a new physical address, so am waiting a month to change it back after my new bill is out. they will tell you their new system will not allow different addresses, but in reality i am guessing have no way of knowing what your credit card address really is.

I just spoke with Tom (I think that was his name) at Villages AV. He informed me that within 6 months Sling TV would be carrying the networks and to wait until then to see if I still wanted an antenna for local stations. If he turns out to be correct, Sling TV might be the way to go in the future.

It looks like the cable companies are going to have to change to keep pace with the streaming services. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Yup, here's how they will change - it has already started in some locales. They will meter your broadband and if you go over your standard limit, you get billed at higher rates per GB. Just like your water bill. Flat rate for the first amount, higher for the second tier and outrageous for the extra shows you watch through broadband. So when you cancel your TV service, your internet service skyrockets so they don't lose money - they make more money.
