Our Trane recently died after 19 years.
Try Marc Antony.
They wouldn’t leave you hanging for this long.

Get creative? " jury rig " something that will work untill the correct part is available.
Or,
( I can't believe I am suggesting this as an option ) lawsuit!? Check with an attorney. Your AC doesn't work and is under warranty. They can't/won't fix it, why shouldn't concern you. If they can't fix it for any reason they should replace it.

This does seem to be a common problem with Carrier based on a HVAC chat room. I would look high and low to buy another board. Even if they would not install it at least you would have a backup in case of another failure or a lightning strike.
Warranty? The warranty is proving to be useless to OP. Money wasted or stolen if the warranty co can't/won't get it fixed and won't have it replaced.

As I mentioned in a prior post, if this debacle happened to us I would be all over Trane and the repair firm.

I would be in constant comms with Trane Corp. 800 945 5884. No reason why this issue is such an issue.

Second I listen to a NewsTalk radio station from Orlando WDBO. They had a weekly program hosted and sponsored by Pro-Tech Service Co.They specialize in Trane. Very respected and solid company. I would call them and explain your issue. I’m certain that they would be a good resource to assist. 407 378 1305. Talk to Hector, a Manager there. Or Tom Nixon, owner.

This is very good post to learn from. As technology improves for better performance and efficiency, the designs are more complex and newer thus more ways to fail.

I will do thorough research on reliability of any new system next time my AC is replaced. Maybe even buy a spare part or two.

Keep in mind that R410A is being phased out so that should make your next AC replacement decision even more difficult.

Portable unit we purchased is not helping much at all. No answers and nowhere to go from here. Beyond the point of screaming!
seems to me that (not knowing if this is stick or stucco build) that 3-4 weeks with no air I'd go buy another unit and have it put in. Because the amount of damage you are risking will cost far more to remove than just forking out for a replacement unit.

See Post No. 8. It is unfortunate that the OP purchased a two speed compressor unit. Almost every new HVAC unit installed in The Villages is a single stage, one speed compressor unit. The builder installs hundreds of single stage Carrier units every year. Whenever I buy anything for my house that I need to depend on, I go with the standard, tried and true product. This applies to HVAC systems, water heaters, appliances, roofing, etc. A dual stage compressor costs more to purchase, is not more reliable, and really doesn't save very much, if anything, on electricity. And, I doubt that you would be waiting weeks for a replacement part for a single stage unit.

Google does not seem to know about companies stopping production because of this worry.

There is a shortage of parts and materials that began with the pandemic. That shortage is not because of environmental protection. It has nothing at all to due with "green" unless you mean money.

Note that, staring in January, 2023, all HVAC units installed in the southern states must have a minimum SEER efficiency rating of 15. The current requirement is SEER 14. So, if you are buying a new unit this year, the contractor may want to sell you an SEER 14 unit because he cannot sell it next year. Personally, I would insist on the SEER 15 unit to avoid buying an obsolete unit. But, if you want a bargain, you should be able to get a large discount on any SEER 14 units that are in stock. Typically, a higher SEER rating is achieved by making the condenser unit (outside unit) larger with more coil and fin surface area for better heat transfer.
